Everything you need to know about the different BMX Racing category levels
The 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships traditionally consists of three levels;
The Challenge Level
The first days of the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships consists of the Challenge tournament. Where amateur riders from all over the world compete in their individual age group, ranging from 8 years and up. The track is modified to fit the level of the riders, with the start hill being shorter at a height of 5 metres, with the Championship at the height of 8 metres.
Masters Category in BMX Racing
The Masters category in BMX Racing is designed for experienced riders aged 30 and above. This class combines competitive spirit with a passion for the sport, showcasing the skills and dedication of seasoned athletes. It’s the perfect blend of high-level racing and a strong sense of community within BMX.
The Championship level
300-350 of the world’s best BMX riders compete in the Championship level, with approximately 35 nations represented, taking place in the last two days of the 2025 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in the race to be crowned the UCI BMX Racing World Champions’
